Beverly & Bob Casteel
Bev and Bob Casteel of Knoxville, TN began square dancing in 1984 and round dancing in 1988 while living in Chattanooga, TN. They danced with the Wrecktangles Club at Allemande hall. In 1989 they moved to Knoxville and began dancing with the Knoxville Square Dance Association (KSDA), now the Knoxville Squares. They began teaching round dancing in 1992 and were added to the staff of KSDA that same year.

The Casteels are members of Roundalab and DRDC. They became the Round Dance Pulse Poll Editors for American Square Dance Magazine in February 1997, a position they continue to hold. American Square Dance Magazine is viewed by dancers across the globe.

They cue and teach regularly for the Grand Rounds Club on Thursdays and a rounds workshop on Mondays at the Square Dance Center and feel honored to share the round dance program with Brent and Judy Moore for the Roundelays Round Dance Club (Carousel #129) on Wednesdays. They cue monthly for the Grand Squares Club at the Square Dance Center and also cue at special club dances for many other square dance clubs in Tennessee and North Carolina.

Bev and Bob are on staff for several weekend festivals during the year—Smokyland Winter Festival in February, State of Franklin Jubilee in March, Spring Swing in May, and the Turkey Strut in November, all of which are in Gatlinburg, TN. They were on staff for the Mid-America Jamboree in Kentucky for 2000, 2001, 2002 and expect to be back in 2004. They have been invited to teach/cue at the Delmarva Festival, August 2005 in Salisbury, MD—a festival which is hosted by Deleware, Maryland, and Virginia. The Casteels have worked at several Tennessee State Conventions. They coordinated the round dance program for the 24th, 26th, 27th, and the 29th Tennessee State conventions.

Bob is semi-retired and also works part-time as a sales representative for Higginbotham Heating and Air Conditioning. Bev is currently not working outside the home, but her background is in Administrative/Office Management. They have two daughters, Lisa Lane and Marla Osborne. They continue to boast about their grandsons, Christian Alexander Osborne,  and Benjamin Lee Osborne.
